Dear friends, when you come to spend some quiet time in prayer with the Lord today - in the presence of God who loves you - I invite you to consider these words, written by a benedictine Monk, named Leo, who started the Weston Priory in Vermont:
When I love, I love forever.
I cannot simply drop someone who I once loved.
Love is eternal and cannot die, even after the greatest hurt.
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy on me a sinner.
From the Bible:
“But I have trusted in your steadfast love; my heart shall rejoice in your salvation”
Psalm 13:5.
“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us”
Romans 5:8.
“Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love”
1 John 4:8.
