...a deepening faith...

There are an infinite amount of blessings when we begin to pray daily, when we begin to sit quietly in the presence of God. What we receive so much from the presence of God is that our faith grows and becomes so real for each of us. When temptations come our way each day the grace of God is so strong in our hearts as a blessing that comes through the presence of God in our daily prayer. Like everything in our life, our repetition and practice draws us to depend on the very thing we practice. This is true of our spiritual life and daily prayer. Our faith in Christ and our awareness of the presence of God becomes more apparent and so real that we begin more and more to depend on our faith in God.

At communion we recall the Words of Jesus who instructs us “to do this in remembrance of Me!” Daily prayer in the presence of God helps us remember the presence of God throughout our day, to see and feel His presence, and to receive from God “our daily bread” that sustains and strengthens us. Dear friends, it all just follows that our time in the presence of God, our daily prayer and meditation, has a most positive blessing in our daily lives. We hear God’s voice, we feel His presence, and we “see” His presence more than ever. It is God who draws us to prayer and daily quiet time in His presence, and God does this to change us, to make a difference in our daily life. Prayer and daily mediation in His presence makes all the difference in our lives!

By faith we are drawn more and more into His presence, to see and hear the Almighty who loves us deeper than we ever experienced or imagined. So our faith, our trust in Him, our dependence on God for everything in our daily life is blessed and deepened in such personal ways. I urge you, I pray for you, that we will all spend daily time with Him in His holy and most powerful presence. Simply, our faith becomes a living faith!

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy on me a sinner.

“Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes has eternal life” John 6:47.

“Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he recovered his sight and followed him on the way” Mark 10:52.

“And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself” Acts 2:38-39.
