One of the things we discover in our spiritual life is that the Lord never fails to give us His grace and to love to us, so when we fail, we must come back to Him immediately and not allow the devil to talk us into thinking that we are too unworthy to return to Him again. Our life with Christ is never about our worthiness, because none of us is! That is why the Lord still continues to give us His heart in the midst of our sinful departures from Him. God is always nearer to us than we can ever imagine. So talk to Him in sorrow, talk to Him every day, in contrition, in humility and love, but talk to Him. Have courage and persevere, but remember that we all have little time to live, so resolve to live and die with the Lord. Our sufferings and sin are forgiven and become sweet, but we must return to Him and remain with Him, because without Him we can do nothing! Never forget when the disciples asked Jesus: “‘Then who can be saved?’ 26 Jesus looked at them and said, ‘For mortals it is impossible, but for God all things are possible’” Matthew 19:25-26. Never forget that Jesus also said this: “5 I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who abide in Me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from Me you can do nothing” John 15:5. So live with confidence in the Lord, always acting and thinking in love. Remember how different your day will be when you realize that you are in the presence of God who is closer to you than you imagine!
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy on me a sinner.
From the Bible:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding”
Proverbs 3:5.
“Thus says the Lord: “Cursed is the one who trusts in others and makes flesh their strength, whose heart turns away from the Lord. You are like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see any good come. You shall dwell in the parched places of the wilderness, in an uninhabited salt land. “Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. You are like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when the heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.” The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it” Jeremiah 17:5-9?
“Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock”
Isaiah 26:4.
“God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus” Philippines 4:9.
“The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent” Exodus 14:14.
“I can do all things through him who strengthens me” Philippians 4:13.
“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing” John 15:4-5.
“Ponder the path of your feet; then all your ways will be sure” Proverbs 4:26.
