...abiding daily in Christ Jesus...

Everyone who commits sin is guilty of lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. You know that he was revealed to take away sins, and in him there is no sin. No one who abides in him sins; no one who sins has either seen him or known him. Little children, let no one deceive you. Everyone who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. Everyone who commits sin is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The Son of God was revealed for this purpose: to destroy the works of the devil. Those who have been born of God do not sin because God’s seed abides in them; they cannot sin because they have been born of God. 10 The children of God and the children of the devil are revealed in this way: all who do not do what is right are not from God, nor are those who do not love a brother or sister” 1 John 3:4-10.

This is a very clear about being born again and sinning. John tells us: “Let no on deceive you…those who have been born of God do not sin” (Verses 7 & 9). This has always spoken to me about being born again and sinning. It is my belief and experience that I must be born again every day. For is it possible for a person to be born again and never sin again? I have never met such a person, and so I believe every day I must ask the Lord to grace me righteousness every day, to avoid sin this day, and so to aid in Him! So even day I must be born again. When I do no do what is right I am not from God, I am not born again. And so I repent and ask the Lord to grace me with being born again.

You see, “Those who have been born of God do not sin because God’s seed abides in them” (verse 9). So every day I must pray that God’s seed, His Holy Spirit, abides in me, God’s Spirit pitches His tent in my life.

If you disagree with me, then consider the last time you have sinned.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy on me a sinner.

From the Bible:

“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me” John 15:4.

“If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you” John 15:7.

“And now, little children, abide in him, so that when he appears we may have confidence and not shrink from him in shame at his coming” 1 John 2:28.
