In my small group at church on Sunday we spoke about grace. One day the disciples asked about grace too, when they asked Jesus: “‘Who then can be saved?' Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With human beings, this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God’” Mark 10: 26-27.
So what about you, dear friends? Do you see that Jesus is saying that you and I cannot save ourselves, we cannot climb the ladder to heaven. This is impossible for us to do. But our salvation is possible only through the grace of God, because all things are possible with God. Remember, grace is God giving us what we need, not what we deserved or earned or climbed up far enough to be saved.
So take time today and pray. Take time and read from your Bible. As for forgiveness and repent of all your sins. Turn around with God’s grace and follow Christ. Follow Christ!
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy on me a sinner.
From the Bible:
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness”
2 Corinthians 12:9.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast”
Ephesians 2:8-9.
“But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace” Romans 11:6.
“For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace” John 1:16.
