...give and never worry...

One of the great gifts God gives you is the gift of tithing, which is giving 10% or your income to your church. I have learned that we can all live on 90% of our income, so worrying about it gets you nowhere. This is our way of telling God, “I trust You with ALL of my life.”

I love what Jesus says about living this way: “1Beware of practicing your righteousness before others in order to be seen by them, for then you have no reward from your Father in heaven. 2 “So whenever you give alms, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be praised by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward. 3 But when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your alms may be done in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you” Matthew 6:1-4.

So tak a look at how you handle the money you earn. Give it to God so that you don’t get stuck on income and expenses. Live within your means and always be willing to help others and give away your money. Pray about this and tell God you wish to serve Him with your income. He will honor that request, and you will know when opportunities come to use a bit of your income to bless others.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy on me a sinner.

From the Bible:

“Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver” 2 Corinthians 9:7.

“Give, and it will be given to you” Luke 6:38.

“Jesus said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive’” Acts 20:35.

“Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed” Proverbs 19:17.

“Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you’” Hebrews 13:5.
