...healing forgiveness...

If we confess our sins, God who is faithful and just, will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness” 1 John 1:9.

The greatest healing that Almighty God has ever given us is forgiveness.   For the greatest illness that leads to our death is sin.   God knows this, so in the most generous and unselfish and loving way possible, He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to take all of our sins, all of our diseased selves, to the Cross, to suffer and die for us, so that we could be healed once and for all from sin that kills us forever.   The sting of such deadly sin is death, but thanks be to God who gives us the victory of healing forgiveness through Jesus Christ

If you want to be used by God to heal others — which is, after all, a true way of understanding the meaning and purpose of our life — then forgive others — then forgive…forgive…forgive.   

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy win me a sinner.

Oh Lord, we are at a loss for words to thank You for Your loving mercy and forgiveness.  So may we forgive others and love others as You forgive us and love us.   May our healing forgiveness of others reflect our gratitude to You for Your healing forgiveness of us.   In Your holy name, we pray through Jesus Christ, Our Lord, Amen.
