There are infinite amounts of blessings when we begin to pray daily, when we begin to sit quietly in the presence of God. What we receive so much from the presence of God is that God strengthens us in hope. Being in the presence of God each day moves us away from hoping that we will someday truly hope deeply in Him to actually truly hoping in Him! Our prayer helps us to find the Lord in our hearts, and this experience brings us great and true hope in God who is beyond comparison. Such hope brings certainty in our hearts, certainty in God whose love is beyond our imaginations! This is a hope that dispels our worry and builds a love for Him that inspires us to desire deeply union with the Lord.
Hope brings a desire to trust Him and to lean on Him like never before. Hope is rooted in God’s love for us. It makes us hate sin and puts in our heart a desire to love Him and follow Him and to live each day in faithfulness to God! Hope in Christ makes us realize that our life is life only in God who is present! Such hope puts into our hearts a passion to know God, to see Him, and to be faithful and loving of God. Hope enkindles our desire to serve God by faithful and unselfish living. Hope gives us a desire to live each day as worship of Him who is present!
So do all you can do each day to stop, to pause before running out the door, to sit and pray, to sit quietly in the presence of God. Remain in His Word.
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the living Gd, have mercy on me a sinner.
