I pray regularly for healing and healing for those I know and for those who have asked me to pray for healing. And I feel that this daily prayer is simply my graced desire to pray following the person and mission of Jesus Christ who desires to save us and rescue us from the miserable state we are in. Jesus loves us and see us as His brothers and sisters. So He hates to see us wounded and hurting, in the same ways we hate to see the we love hurting and crying out for help. Why else are the Gospels filled with stories of Jesus going out day after day to move among the crowds who needed His healing and love? That same desire of Jesus is at work today. In fact Jesus told His disciples at the last supper that better things were coming because the Spirit would empower them do greater things He is doing. “12 Very truly, I tell you, the one who believes in me will also do the works that I do and, in fact, will do greater works than these, because I am going to the Father. 13 I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If in my name you ask me for anything, I will do it” John 14:12. So we are clearly instructed and expected to pray for healing. Pray for your own healing and for the healing of your family and friends.
And pray with others that God would heal, for such prayer believes that Jesus is still at work healing. Remember that Jesus loves you and He desires your prayers and answers your prayers for healing. Never give up. Keep praying for healing. It is the nature, the heart of Jesus to heal, and so keep praying.
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy on me a sinner.

“And he went throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction among the people” Matthew 4:23.
