...in Your presence...

One of the things that makes a profound difference in our spiritual life is to pray each day that, throughout all the hours of our day, we will recognize that God is intimately present in our life. This awareness opens up the opportunity to converse with God throughout the day, sometimes asking Him to help us feel His presence as we move into a part of our day, or to thank Him for helping us be aware of His presence in something we just experienced. It also helps me ask the Lord to use me in the remaining hours of this day.

So let this be your prayer for this day.

Lord, thank You for bringing me to be aware that You are with me all day, and I pray that I can remember and feel Your presence so that You will use me as You desire. Let every decision I make today be a wise decision, wise in view of your presence in my life right at this moment. Please keep me faithful and loving of You with all whom You bring into my life today. Let me live in an unselfish way today. In Your name I pray, Jesus Christ, Our Lord, Amen.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy on me a sinner.
