...mustard seed faith...

The Parable of the Mustard Seed

18 He said therefore, “What is the kingdom of God like? And to what shall I compare it?

19 It is like a grain of mustard seed which a man took and sowed in his garden; and it grew and became a tree, and the birds of the air made nests in its branches” Luke 13:18-19.

I have always felt that life is lived in the small gestures rather than in the master programs. Is it not true that it’s the little things that count the most?

I believe this is how God wishes us to live. The little things done in great love are what matters. If you and I can sow small seeds of love then we are living as God wishes us to live.

Take to prayer today Jesus’ image and words of the mustard seed.

What can you and I sow today that will grow to make a difference in the lives of others?

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy on me a sinner.

From the Bible:

“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel” Mark 1:15.

“For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit” Romans 14:17.

“For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you” Matthew 17:20.

“For nothing will be impossible with God” Luke 1:37.
