One day when the disciples were in trouble while sailing on the Sea of Tiberias, Jesus came walking across the water to them to calm the storm. Jesus said to them: “Take heart, it is I; do not be afraid” Matthew 14:27.
I have always loved these words of Jesus because He has spoken them to me often in my life, in one way or another.
The next time you feel like you are sinking, take to heart these words of Jesus; “It is I; do not be afraid!” In others, turn to Jesus and take comfort in His presence. He promised never to leave you orphaned, never to leave you alone. He promised to be with you always until the end of the ages. You are never alone. Just talk to Jesus. Remember He is with you. Trust Him. Follow Him. Stay on his Word. Be in prayer. Nothing is beyond His love for you. He loves you. Deeply and without question.
Remember these words of Jesus: 28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light”
Matthew 11:28-30.
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy on me a sinner.
