...read and share...read and share...

During decades as a Pastor so many people have told me they could never witness to others about God for fear of not knowing how to answer questions about the bible. I always told folks that I have two things to say about their fears. The first is to read the bible. If you are afraid of the bible it’s because you aren’t reading a little bit every day, especially from the Gospels. The second thing I tell them is something Jesus told us to do, and it is such a favorite command of mine from Jesus: “Go home and tell everyone how much God has done for you” Luke 8:39. Yes, dear friends, just share what you have seen and felt God doing in your life.

So, in as simple a way as I know, take time today in prayer and ask the Lord to give you His grace to read a little of His Word from the Gospels, and ask Him to give you the grace to share with others what He has done in your life.

Try this every day for a month and see what happens. See what a difference it makes in your life. Don’t be afraid. Do these two simple things: Read the four Gospels and share with others what God has done in your life.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy on me a sinner.

From the Bible:

“And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation” Mark 16:15.

“Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God” 2 Corinthians 5:20.

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth” Acts 1:8.
