My greatest regret in life is that I have not always been guided by love. Psalm 51:3 is a truth I most sorrowfully live with: For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me.
God, I know that You, and only You, are love and only You are completely guided and defined by love. My desire, my response, is voiced again by the Psalmist who writes:
“O come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!
For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand.
O that today you would listen to His voice!
And harden not your heart”
Psalm 95:6-8!
Dear friends, pray that you and I are not guided by selfish viewpoints and perspectives about others or about the world in which we live, but rather that we are both guided by our resolve, our deepest desire, to allow the love of God to be the purpose of our life. May we all make our next decision and choice based on the love of God. That is wisdom! May everything we think and everything we do be guided by the love of God — alone! May the greatest desire of our life be our daily search for Jesus Christ!
Oh God, root from my mind and heart all that is not Yours! Guide me in Your merciful love to turn around and go back until I find the path You have laid out for me to follow — and then give me Your everlasting and most sufficient grace to follow You once and for all — forever— on the path You wish for me to follow. May I seek Your love! May I seek Your heart! May I seek Your presence and follow You all the days of my life! May I live for You alone! May I forgive and be forgiven! Turn my face to Yours! Turn my heart to Your heart! Amen!
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy on me a sinner!
From the Bible:

“We love because he first loved us” 1 John 4:19.
“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might” Deuteronomy 6:5.
“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us”

“The Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations” Deuteronomy 7:9.
“So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him” 1 John 4:16.
“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me” Galatians 2:20.
