...the love of God in you...

Jesus said: “26 Father, I made Your Name known to those who follow Me, and I will make it known, so that the love with which You have loved Me may be in them and I in them” John 17:26.

At the end of one of the most beautiful chapters in the Bible, John 17, when Jesus prays for His disciples and all who follow Him, Jesus finishes this beautiful prayer with the text above. What a revelation this is, that Jesus has made known His Father in Heaven to all of us who follow Christ. And He then reveals why He has done this, so that the love the Father has for His Son, Jesus Christ, may be in us and that Jesus Himself may be in each of us! What a gift of life, eternal life, this is for us all who believe in Him!

Pray, then, as you reflect on this revelation from Jesus Christ Himself, that you may believe in Him and have faith and trust in Him! Pray for faithfulness today. Don’t worry about tomorrow; worry about today only, for this is enough. Pray that God will fill you with his Holy Spirit so that you may love Him, honor Him, obey Him, and follow Him. Give thanks that the love of God is in you. THANK GOD FOR HIS LOVE!

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy on me a sinner.

From the Bible:

“9 God’s love was revealed among us in this way: God sent his only Son into the world so that we might live through him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins” John 4:9-10.

“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” Romans 5:8.

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” Isaiah 41:10.

“The Lord appeared to Jeremiah from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you” Jeremiah 31:3.
