...the narrow door...

Jesus says, “24 Strive to enter by the narrow door” Matthew 13:24.

What does this mean?

The Lord came to guide our consciences, not to gratify our curiosity. So the question is not, “How many will be saved?” But, “Will I be saved?”?

The question is not, “What about so and so?” But, “What shall I do, and what will become of me?”

Jesus says “Strive to enter in by the narrow door.” This is directed to each of us. Jesus is saying, “Strive all you who seek to follow me! Strive!” For all who will be saved, must enter in at the narrow door, and all of us must undergo an entire change of our whole being. Those that would enter in through the narrow door, must strive to enter.

Oh that we may be all awakened by what Jesus is saying!! For I wonder if when we reach heaven, we will meet many there whom we thought we would never meet, and miss many whom we expected to find.

Pray that we may strive to follow Christ and live faithful lives.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy on me a sinner.

From the Bible:

“For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps” 1 Peter 2:21.

“Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me” Matthew 16:24.

“Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life” John 8:12.

“I commend you because you remember me in everything” 1 Corinthians 11:1-2.
