...welcome children always...

13 Then children were being brought to Jesus in order that He might lay His hands on them and pray. The disciples spoke sternly to those who brought them, 14 but Jesus said, ‘Let the children come to me, and do not stop them, for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.’  15 And Jesus laid His hands on them and went on His way”

Matthew 19:13-15.

I thank God that my church is very involved in praying for and teaching the children. Every child is welcome and included - just as they are.

So consider the children that are in your life right now in any way.

Pray for them. Lay hands on them, as this is an old and universal symbol of invoking the Holy Spirit to descend and fill them with his love.

And remember, children won’t remember everything you told them about the Lord. But they will remember how much the Lord meant to you. Teach them about the Lord without words.

Lord Jesus, Son of the Living God, have mercy on me a sinner.

From the Bible:

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change” James 1:17.

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you” Jeremiah 1:5.

“Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward”

Psalm 127:3.

“And he took a child and put him in the midst of them, and taking him in his arms, he said to them, “Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me, receives not me but him who sent me” Mark 9:36-37.
