...you can see...

22 They came to Bethsaida. Some people brought a blind man to him and begged him to touch him. 23 He took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the village, and when he had put saliva on his eyes and laid his hands on him, he asked him, “Can you see anything?” 24 And the man looked up and said, “I can see people, but they look like trees, walking.” 25 Then Jesus laid his hands on his eyes again, and he looked intently, and his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly. 26 Then he sent him away to his home, saying, “Do not even go into the village” Mark 8:22-26.

We are all blind, physically or spiritually. That’s the bad news. The good news is that we only have to touch Jesus to be able to see. It is in prayer that we touch God and hear His voice. It is in His Word that we touch God and hear His voice. Really and truly. Beyond any doubt. And He will take us by the hand and lead us away from our blindness, beyond our doubt that anything good will come of our life.

Among the most compelling words Jesus spoke are His words: “Come to me, all you who are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light” Matthew 11:28-30. These are words that come to us in prayer. These words are the promise of Jesus Himself.

Pray and remain in the Word and sometime soon you will say to Jesus, “I can see”

Mark 8:24.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy on me a sinner.

From the Bible:

Jesus said: “Whoever comes to me I will never cast out” John 6:37.

“Jesus called them to him, saying, ‘Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God’” Luke 18:16.

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another” John 13:34.
